Shemini Atzeret/Simchat Torah (SHMIN-eeaht-SAIR-et / SIM-khat TOE-rah) marks the conclusion of the Sukkot festival and the time when we take leave of the sukkah. This holiday, beginning at sundown on September 27th and ending at sundown on October 29th, marks the completion of the annual cycle of the weekly Torah (Old Testament bible) reading.
