Youth Program Coordinator

Part-Time: 15-20 hours/week

Work Schedule: Part Time 15-20 Hours/week

Overview: The Youth Program Coordinator is a member of the York JCC’s Cultural and Art Department. She/he is the custodian of the development and implementation of a variety of programs and activities for families, school-aged children and young teenagers.

Specific Responsibilities: Coordinate and facilitate children programs- during vacations, weekends, evenings, etc. Create Family Programs for the Community Work directly with youth leadership development programs Summer assignment in a York JCC summer camp program Develop and implement Jewish values and Jewish identity enhancement programs Develop and implement recruiting strategy to attract families to programs Focus on incorporating the volunteer community in the implementation of these programs Certain financial management responsibilities Advise BBYO and serves as director for Chaverim, JFamily and Next Dor Develop and Manage our participation in JCCA Maccabi Games/Arts Fest and “coach” participating teams/individuals Enhance collaborative efforts with other Jewish and Non-Jewish agencies serving the York community’s youth

Tasks Related to the Jewish Purposes and Goals of the Jewish Community Center: Demonstrate and articulate an understanding of the Jewish goals and purpose of the agency Work with the Management and Program Staff Teams to explore opportunities for infusion of Jewish content in programs and services Implement programs that reflect the Jewish Community Center’s commitment to Judaism

a minimum of three years’ work experience teaching PE, youth sports and fitness classes in a professional setting.

Evening Housekeeping Supervisor

Full-time: 40 hours/week. Evening Supervisor 2nd shift Mon-Thursday 4pm-12:30am; Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm

Position Overview: The evening Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the housekeeping quality standards are adhered to and will supervise the activities and events assigned to the evening Housekeeping team. The housekeeping supervisor is directly responsible for standards of cleanliness, team training and morale, as well as quality and safety standards.

Qualifications: High School Diploma. 2-3 years Supervisory Experience. Must be able to work flexible hours which may include weekends and holidays.

Personal Trainer - Career Professional

Fitness Center Floor Staff

Part-Time: 15-20 hours per week. Must be available to work morning (5-9 am) or afternoon (12-4 pm, 3:30-6:30 pm) hours and be on a weekend rotation.

Position Overview: Assist members in achieving their goals when utilizing the fitness center. Responsible for monitoring the Fitness Center and all of the participants. Must be able to learn and demonstrate proper use of all weight and cardio machines and be able to provide assistance and be able to provide assistance when needed. Additional responsibilities include completion of daily cleaning duties, tracking fitness center attendance, answering phone calls, maintaining knowledge of other JCC programs and attending all required staff meetings.

Requirements: High school diploma, excellent customer service skills, basic knowledge of exercises and workout equipment, basic computer experience and a current CPR/AED certification.
