Melissa Plotkin, Director of Community Engagement and Diversity provides strategic direction and leadership in the design and delivery of JCC's award-winning diversity services to ensure maximum impact and empower positive action. She also directs and facilitates the JCC's strategic and annual planning processes with the JCC Board of Directors and senior management.
Melissa joined the JCC in 2013 with eight years' experience as a highly motivated and innovative facilitator. She is a creative thinker with effective program development skills.
A native of York County, she has served in various leadership roles within the non-profit community including York Suburban Communities That Care (CTC), Planned Parenthood of Central PA, YWCA York, Family Issues Roundtable, Olivia's House, and the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Program (HOBY). She is also a member of several Diversity Committees in local school districts and the Pennsylvania Human Relations' Task Force on Community Activities and Relations.
