Going to Israel was an incredible learning experience. I grew to better understand and appreciate Jewish culture and religion. I knew several cultures and religions call Israel home, but I never knew just how vastly diverse it is. The experience opened my eyes to so many different ethnic groups and cultures within Israel that I was not aware of. The Israeli people, regardless if they were Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Bedouin, etc, were very kind and welcoming.

One of the most memorable days for me was visiting Old Jerusalem. Looking back on my experience, it was so exciting to see the history of several religions including my own. Being immersed in the history and evidence of these religions strengthened my belief in my religion and left me in awe.
