WHAT IS LIFE COACHING?
Support and encouragement are important for everyone, especially when it comes to self-discovery and growth. The purpose of life coaching is to help people explore their own desires, abilities, and needs for making a change. When goals seem overwhelming, coaching will assist with getting from point A (identifying a goal) to point B (achieving the goal).
Life coaches can specialize in business, leadership, health and wellness, and relationships, but overall, the focus is always on the future. The process of coaching can help you gain a fresh, informed perspective on the problems you face. Whether the goal is to lose weight, improve personal relationships, or finish a passion project, life coaching can help you identify the steps toward success.
HOW DOES THE LIFE COACHING PROCESS WORK?
Life coaching will help you define the goals that are important to you and uses science-based strategies to achieve them. Through guided questions, brainstorming, and other specific techniques, the life coaching process will help you build confidence and recognize your ability to move forward. Different from traditional
psychotherapy, the coaching process is primarily focused on the present and future. It analyzes only current behaviors and obstacles to create a custom plan of action. A life coach will stand by your side and keep track of your commitments, making sure you stick with your plan. Through planning sessions, check-ins, and accountability, you will be motivated to reach your full potential.
