J Gallery Feature Artist

Liz Arbittier moved to York about 17 years ago with her husband and four children. While her first passion is her family, her love of horses and riding follows close behind. She is an avid rider and shows her horses, Basil and Nina, at local and national shows throughout the year.

Her discovery within herself as an artist began 8 years ago when a friend taught her how to make a stained glass panel. She continued to explore stained glass art, and then moved to fused glass and mosaic glass art. Her painting journey began with a watercolor class offered on a cruise ship vacation. She continued with watercolors and then added acrylics, mostly self-taught, to her repertoire, and has expanded to teaching classes via zoom and FaceTime during the COVID quarantine and spreading the joy of art to friends and family.
