Temple Beth Israel is affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism. Rabbi Jeffrey Astrachan conducts Kabbalat Shabbat worship services each Friday evening, beginning at 7:00pm. Cantorial Intern David Fair joins the congregation twice each month (August -April) from the Hebrew Union College in New York City.  Together, Rabbi and Cantor create a moving, inspiring, musical, and spiritual environment for prayer and introspection.

The Temple Beth Israel community enjoys a variety of programing and activities, including:

Ohev Sholom Congregation is an egalitarian, inclusive and friendly Conservative congregation that provides educational and worship opportunities for adults. We embrace members of different levels of observance and different stages of life. As a community and as individuals, we recognize our obligations to society as a whole, the local and world Jewish communities, the Conservative movement and the State of Israel.
