York JCC’s Privacy Policy

The York Jewish Community Center (“we,” “us,” “York JCC,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of our members, financial donors, app users, and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our website or the York JCC mobile application.

 1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
Personal Information: We collect information you provide directly to us (e.g., name, contact details, membership info, payment/donor details) to manage your membership, process registrations, and provide services. (Note: Members are strongly recommended to have a physical examination by their physician before beginning any physical fitness program.)

Internal Wellness Data: In accordance with our policy, information regarding personal health and wellness may be shared internally among authorized staff to enhance your member experience.

Non-Disclosure: The JCC will not sell, trade, or share personal information about members, financial donors, app users, or website users with any third parties.

2. Photo and Media Release
Members understand and grant permission to the York JCC to use, without limitation or obligation, photographs, film footage, or tape recordings (which may include members’ images or voices) for the purpose of promoting York JCC programs.

3. Data Retention Policy
We retain personal data and app-related user information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including:

  • Maintaining active memberships and user accounts.
  • Satisfying any legal, accounting, or regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Resolving disputes and enforcing our agreements.

When personal data is no longer required for these purposes, it is securely deleted or anonymized.

4. Data Deletion Requests and User Rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data stored by the York JCC.

How to Request Data/Account Deletion:
If you wish to delete your account or request the removal of your personal information from our app and database:

  • Email: Send a request to jccmembership@yorkjcc.org with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.” Please include your full name and the email address associated with your account/membership.
  • Mail: Send a written request to the York Jewish Community Center (York JCC), attn: Membership Director, to 2000 Hollywood Drive, York, PA 17403.

Upon receiving your request, we will verify your identity and process the deletion of your account and associated personal data within 60 days, except where retention is required by law.
