Early Childhood Education at the York JCC

Change of Status Form for Current Families

The York JCC Early Childhood Education program provides high-quality care and education for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.

We believe childhood should be filled with curiosity, discovery, laughter, meaningful relationships, and joyful learning. Our classrooms are places where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, solve problems, build friendships, and develop confidence through play and hands-on experiences.

Our program is rooted in Jewish values that emphasize kindness, compassion, community, and respect for others. We proudly welcome families of all backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, and experiences and are committed to creating a community where every child and every family feels a true sense of belonging.

Two locations, one team to support families right here in York County.

Curriculum & Brightwheel

Using The Experience Curriculum^®, we provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences that encourage children to explore, investigate, create, and discover. Our classrooms foster growth across all areas of development while nurturing each child’s natural curiosity and love of learning.

In addition, we use Brightwheel to communicate directly with families throughout the day.

Gan Rimon Campus in Jacobus, PA

For ages 6 weeks – 3 years old
Hours: 7 AM – 5:30 PM
Location: 6434 Susquehanna Trail South, York, PA 17407

Gan Rimon serves our youngest learners, providing a nurturing environment for children from infancy through approximately 3 years of age. Our programs include:

• Infants: A warm, responsive environment focused on bonding, individualized routines, and early development.
• Young Toddlers: Opportunities to explore, build language, develop motor skills, and begin learning through play.
• Older Toddlers: A balance of structured learning and hands-on exploration that encourages independence, social-emotional growth, and school readiness foundations.

Licensing

Our Gan Rimon campus is licensed through the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.

Gan Tamar Campus in York, PA

For ages 2 – 5 years old
Hours: 7 AM – 5:30 PM
Location: 2000 Hollywood Drive, York, PA 17403 (main York JCC campus)

Gan Tamar serves children approximately 2 years of age through Pre-Kindergarten in engaging classrooms that prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten.

Children participate in experiences that promote:

• Social-emotional development
• Early literacy and language
• Mathematics and problem-solving
• Science and discovery
• Creative arts
• Physical development
• Independence and self-help skills

Licensing

Our Gan Tamar campus is licensed through the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.

We also participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Children in both Gan Rimon and Gan Tamar receive a morning and afternoon snack, as well as a hot lunch.

• Childcare Works (CCW)

JClub: Before and After School Care

Hours: 7 AM – 5:30 PM
Location: 2000 Hollywood Drive, York, PA 17403 (main York JCC campus)

Our J Club Before & After School Care program provides a secure, fun place for your child to come and play and learn outside of school hours. These programs were created specifically with your child, grade K – 6, in mind.

Whether you are bringing them here before school, after school, both, or for a full day, they will be well cared for. We provide an opportunity for your child to socialize, play, and relax.

York Academy Regional Charter School (YARCS) Location:
We provide care onsite at this location.

If your family lives in Suburban or Dallastown Area School District, but your child attends a school outside of the district (Montessori, St. Joseph’s of York, etc.) or is in an LIU classroom, you may still be able to attend our program if these schools transport the children to our building. Please contact your district for more information.

Our teachers thoughtfully design engaging environments where children build social-emotional skills, develop confidence, strengthen problem-solving abilities, and learn through enriching interactions with peers, educators, and the world around them.

Every child is unique, and we celebrate each child’s individual strengths, interests, and abilities while supporting their growth at their own pace.

Financial Assistance for Childcare

Serving our entire community

We recognize the need to serve all members of the entire community, regardless of their ability to pay the full cost of programs or membership.

All applicants are required to apply to C.C.C. (Child Care Consultants) and submit documentations that confirms their co-pay and if they are placed on a waitlist for funding. For more information and to download the proper C.C.C. forms and documentation, please visit the Child Care Consultant website.

Once applicants have applied to C.C.C., they can then contact the Finance Department at the York JCC (finance@yorkjcc.org), for more information or help on the financial assistance process.

When submitting financial assistance documentation to the JCC, all necessary information MUST be filled out completely before turning in your Financial Assistance Application. C.C.C documentation and necessary forms must accompany the application.
