The York JCC is the heart of the Jewish community and the home away from home for thousands of individuals in the York community. Many people do not realize that income from membership dues is not enough to support the excellent programming we enjoy and to serve the community, especially the families and individuals who need scholarship assistance.
Your support and generosity allow us to welcome everyone and ensure our services are available to all who need us.
GivingTuesday, held the Tuesday after the Thanksgiving holiday, was created in 2012 as a simple idea: to encourage people to give back after a weekend of holiday shopping. It is now a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. And, the York JCC is participating this year!
During the month of December, the JCC will be collecting supplies needed for our Early Childhood Education, Before and After School Care, Youth Fitness, and Parkinson’s programs. Stop by the tables in the main lobby, the entrance to pre-school, and Gan Rimon to pick up the list of items most needed by these programs and for details on how to give. Thank you for your support.
