Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day)

FREEJoin us for video screenings of What I Remember, interviews of two Holocaust survivors with local ties to York, Nessy Marks and Bluma Shapiro.
These free showings will be held at 10 AM, 12 PM, and 6 PM in the York JCC auditorium.
The interviews last approximately 30 minutes.
We will also have a poster exhibit available for viewing from 9 AM until close.
Yom HaShoah, or Holocaust Remembrance Day, is commemorated across the Jewish world with services, ceremonies, educational programs, testimonials from survivors and with the lighting of yahrzeit (memorial) candles. The date for Yom HaShoah, the 27th of Nisan, was chosen based on the start of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising because it represented resistance, strength, and heroism.
